All yoga mats are not created equal, because all yogis are not created equal. Sure, all mats provide a little extra cushion, lessen the impact of hard floors on knees, palms and other sensitive body parts, and lend extra grip to hands and feet. But yoga mats vary in thickness from 1/8" all the way up to 3/4". How do you know which yoga mat is best for you?
Just 1/8" (3mm) thick, our Compact Cushion yoga mat rolls up nice and tight for maximum portability, but still provides you necessary cushion and grip. Thicker, more padded mats tend to offer more padding, but provide less balance as your hands sink deeper into the foam. They're also substantially heavier and take up a lot of space, even when rolled up.
